With all of the uncertainty surrounding Brexit it has been very difficult to look too far into the future when deciding which products we are going to concentrate on in the coming year.

Birch Plywood BB BB Grade
One product that we have decided to focus on in this article is Birch plywood.. To be quite frank this year we took a bit of a hit on Birch plywood products as we struggled to get the quality that our customers needed to produce high end furniture. So what was the problem -
Grades of Birch Plywood
We initially decided to stock a BB / CC Grade which garanteed one good face, on the sheets wooden patches are used to replace all major defects. On this grade of Birch Plywood some brown stain is permitted to allow for colour variation. The downside of this particular grade of birch is that it only had one good face. ( We learnt a lesson )
Customers were looking for both faces to look the same, with this in mind we have improved the grade of the birch to cover all applications yes it will be slightly more expensive roughly 8% however we feel that we will be able to cover all high end carpentry applications.
Increased product range
We will also be looking to increase our product range where we will now be stocking 6mm,9mm, 12mm, 15mm, 18mm and 24mm Birch Plywood Sheets
