Our new stock of decorative fence panels have arived for 2019.

We often get asked what different types and styles of garden fence products we sell. The range is vast with the majority of the panels being constructed from timber however more recently we have increased our ranges to include composite fences all  of which can all be viewed in our fence display centre in Pontardulais ( swansesa ).

If i had to place the panels into categories i would say that you have Fence Panels, Bespoke Fences & Composite Fencing.

Garden fence Panel

A wooden garden fence panel is a pre manufactured fence panel constructed using timber, designed to be slotted between Wooden, Concrete or plastic posts. A fence panel is a quick easy solution to replacing or installijng a boundry on your property.

Advantages

  • Ease of installation.
  • Panels Can be installed by end user.
  • Fence panels can look more aesthetically pleasing.
  • Are available in a wide variety of styles and finishes.
  • Fence panels are Readily available.

Disadvantages

  • Fence panels are usualluy not as strong.
  • Only available in set sizes.
  • Only available in manufactured styles.
  • Easy to damage.
  • Decorative fence panels Can be expensive depending on design.

 

Bespoke Fecing

FeatheredgeWood fences

Featheredge fencing , Hit and Miss, Tongue & Grooved fencing are popular styles of bespoke fences. This is a wooden fence that has been constructed on site using the individual wooden fencing timbers. Unlike a fence panel this particular style of wooden fence is actually built in the garden that it is being installed. The most common fence that we supply in this option is a featheredge fence.

Advantages

  • Can be built to the exact speccification and length that the customer requires.
  • Generally a lot stronger than conventional wooden fence panels.
  • Can be installed quickly.
  • Less fence posts are used.
  • Reasonably priced.

Disadvantages

  • Feather-edge is not as aesthetically pleasing.
  • Feather edge is Limited in design.
  • Tradesman needed to install hit and miss fencing.

 

Composite Fencing

Composite Fence

Composite fencing panels are a maintenance free alternative to wooden fencing. Plastic fencing is generally constructed on site using the Plastic Posts and plastic gravel boards. The PVC & Composite gravel boards are slotted on top of each other to give the required height.

Advantages of composite

  • Composite panels are virtually maintenance free.
  • Composite fencing is strong.
  • Very durable
  • Easy to install.

Disadvantages

  • Composite is a lot more expensive.
  • Limited availabliity on styles and finishes.
